J-1939 CAN Systems
One of the major concerns today for vehicle manufactures is how to reduce cost and still keep the functions their buyers have come to expect.
That is exactly why the Gateway box was developed. The Gateway constantly monitors over 40 functions from the ECU and provides a means for a visual display in text format of those engine codes. Whether they be normal or diagnostic in nature.
The Gateway provides a single wire connection from the box to the instrument panel. This minimizes the size, weight and complexity of the electrical harness. Up in the dash panel the Gateway communicates with the Faria gauges via a "Faria" Bus protocol. A single pair of twisted wires daisy chains the gauges together with quick connect waterproof connectors.
An intelligent stepper motor driven instrument provides accurate analog style display with an easy to read digital read out of engine functions. Connect up to six discreet gauges to complete your dash.
The Gateway interfaces with Analog, Digital and Mechanical function through out your vehicle. Including;
